Nurse cuts off infant's pinky finger

A Polk County nurse who was trying to remove an IV from a 3-month old baby accidentally snipped off part of the girl's pinky and now the family is suing the nurse and the hospital. Veronica Olguin is scheduled to appear at a news conference on Wednesday after hiring the Orlando-based Pendas Law Firm to represent her. Olguin said a nurse at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Polk County cut off her daughter's finger with a pair of scissors.

As in years past, the turnout was tremendous as was the joy shown by those who showed up to receive one of our Butterball turkeys.
