MARGATE, FL – A passenger is in critical condition, and a driver died when they crashed their car into a tree near HCA Florida Northwest Hospital Saturday.

This single-vehicle crash happened before 4:45 a.m. on the 3100 block of North State Road 7, according to WSVN. The car did sustain some damage to the side.

Margate Police are investigating all details surrounding this collision and have not provided updates at this time.
