1 critically hurt, 1 killed in Jacksonville crash with 2 Kia cars

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A collision involving a Kia Forte and a Kia Sorento that happened on New Kings Road left one driver in critical condition and claimed another life Sunday.

First Coast News said the driver of the Kia Sorrento was speeding on northbound New Kings Road and collided with the Kia Forte motorist as they turned left on the I-295 northbound ramp.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said that speed and impairment are strong possible factors in what led to this fatal wreck. They said the Sorrento driver was hospitalized with critical, life-threatening injuries, while the Forte driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials have not indicated other details about this deadly collision.
