1 dead, 1 left critically hurt after motorcycle vs. car crash in Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY, FL – A driver died last Saturday evening, July 20, following a collision in Orange County that left a motorcyclist critically injured, reports ClickOrlando.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Mitsubishi Mirage was traveling westbound on Meadow Bend Loop toward International Drive when the crash occurred just before 5:40 p.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates an Indian motorcycle was heading northbound in the center lane of International Drive when the driver of the Mirage made a left turn onto International Drive, in front of the motorcycle. Moments later, the motorcyclist collided with the car’s left side.
The driver of the Mirage, a 63-year-old woman from Sparks, Nevada, was rushed to ORMC where she succumbed to her injuries, confirmed troopers.
The motorcyclist was also rushed to ORMC where he was listed in critical condition.
No further details have been shared at this time, but an investigation remains in progress.
