1 dead after car, motorcycle crash in Sarasota
SARASOTA, FL – A motorcyclist was hospitalized and later died from a crash involving a car at the US Highway 41 and Grove Street intersection Thursday.
WFLA said the collision took place around 6:30 p.m. north of Southside Elementary School. Officials closed the northbound lanes of U.S. 41 extending from Weber Street and Morris Street.
The area has since reopened. Officials did not indicate pending charges, who had the right of way, and what the contributing factors of the crash were.
In addition, the motorcyclist’s name, gender, and identity have not been released.
