1 dead after motorcycle vs. car crash in Azalea Park
ORANGE COUNTY, FL – An 18-year-old Orlando man lost his life Sunday night, December 29, after crashing into a vehicle while operating a motorcycle in Azalea Park, reports FOX 35 Orlando.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers said the fatal incident unfolded on Semoran Boulevard near Oleander Drive, at around 8:00 p.m.
An early investigation indicates the young man was driving a motorcycle southbound on Semoran Boulevard. At one point, a car ahead of him slowed for traffic. Officials said the motorcyclist did not slow down in time, causing their bike to strike the back of the car.
First responders rushed the rider to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
No injuries to the other driver or anyone else were reported.
It’s unclear at this time whether any charges or citations are anticipated.
