1 hospitalized, 1 dead after crash with pole in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – One man was seriously hurt, and another life was claimed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday.
In a report from News 4 Jax, the collision occurred on Century 21 Drive at the Boat House Apartments.
The driver of a red Camaro was traveling at a high rate, something he is known to do often, according to a resident in the area. He lost control of the vehicle as he was negotiating a curve. He then struck a pole.
The driver, along with the passenger, another man, did not wear seatbelts. The impact caused one of the men to be thrown from the car. As revealed in the source’s photo, the red car landed on its roof.
One man succumbed to fatal injuries, and another was hospitalized for severe injuries.
