1 hurt, one life claimed in solo-vehicle wreck at FL-618, U.S. 301
TAMPA, FL – A 71-year-old man lost his life, and a woman, also 71, was injured in a single-vehicle collision at the FL-618 and U.S. 301 interchange before 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.
It is unclear why the man lost control of his car. As he lost control, his vehicle drifted off the road and crashed into a traffic reflector, WFLA reported.
The man from Brandon succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene. The woman, also of Brandon, was sent to a hospital for serious injuries.
