1 killed in I-4 collision on I-4 in Sanford
SANFORD, FL – One person succumbed to fatal wounds in a collision that occurred before 3:30 p.m. on I-4 East adjacent to the Seminole Towne Center Wednesday.
Florida Highway Patrol told WFTV that they pronounced the individual dead at the scene and said the involved vehicle was a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. Aside from declaring the victim deceased, troopers worked with crews to shut down the eastbound lanes on I-4 and told drivers to use State Road 46 and State Road 417 as alternative routes.
Troopers have launched an investigation and have not released additional details at this time.
