1 seriously hurt, 1 in critical condition after Zephyrhills crash
ZEPHYRHILLS, FL – Two were hurt following a five-vehicle crash that happened on the eastbound lanes of Eiland Boulevard Monday.
The collision occurred around 8 a.m. at a traffic stop, WTSP reported. Five vehicles in front of a cement truck stopped. However, the cement truck driver did not stop and hit the back of a pickup truck.
The impact prompted the driver of the pickup truck to collide with the other vehicles, causing a chain-reaction crash. In addition, the pickup truck caught fire.
It is unclear if the driver of the cement truck was hurt.
The driver of the pickup truck, an unidentified 79-year-old man, was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
An unidentified 31-year-old woman from the SUV sustained serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
