2 adults, 2 toddlers hurt in crash with ejection
REDLAND, FL – A Mercedes SUV driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic, causing them to hit a Toyota vehicle, ejecting two toddlers from the Toyota, injuring them and the drivers.
This crash happened Sunday afternoon when the Mercedes driver was going east on SW 256th Street and hit the Toyota driver going south on Krome Avenue, WSVN said.
The adults and toddlers were all hospitalized. First responders confirmed a medical helicopter airlifted the toddlers to Kendall Regional Medical Center, where they are listed in critical condition, while the adults were going to get treatment for serious wounds.
Authorities shut down Krome Avenue for two hours for the scene clearance and investigation period.
