2 arrested after pursuit-crash in Miami Gardens
MIAMI, FL – A driver of a Mercedes Benz sedan fled from Miami-Dade police during a traffic stop and crashed into another vehicle, ending in two arrests Thursday.
The events unfolded after 11 p.m., when Miami-Dade Police tried to pull over the Mercedes driver, a 21-year-old man, in the area of NW 37 Avenue and NW 145th Street and then crashed into the second vehicle in the 38 Avenue NW 161 Street, according to NBC Miami.
The driver then shot the other motorist, an unidentified man, and he was later sent to Aventura Hospital in stable condition.
Miami-Dade Police arrested the Mercedes driver, identified as 21-year-old Antonio Vance, and his passenger, a 16-year-old boy. Prior to the arrest, Vance tried to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended.
Officers have not disclosed any citations or pending charges.
