2 dead after driver runs red light, causes crash in Tampa
TAMPA, FL – Two lives were claimed after a pickup truck driver ran a red light and collided with another vehicle at an intersection Sunday night.
FOX 13 News said the pickup truck driver, a 46-year-old man, was traveling southeast on Nebraska Avenue when he struck the other driver heading northeast on Nebraska Ave.
The force of the collision caused both vehicles to spin before coming to a halt east of the intersection. A 32-year-old passenger from the other vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 46-year-old man was sent to a hospital, where he later died.
The other driver sustained serious injuries. The victim’s current condition is unknown.
