2 hospitalized after car crashes off I-95 near downtown Miami

MIAMI, FL – Two people were injured, one critically, Thursday when a vehicle fell off Interstate 95 near downtown Miami, according to NBC Miami.

Responding fire crews said the incident occurred on the inbound lanes near Northwest 20th Street and 7th Avenue.

While officials have not released a sequence of events, preliminary details show a car ran off the southbound highway ramp and landed on the Dolphin Expressway below.

One person who suffered critical injuries had to be rushed to Ryder Trauma. Another patient was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital where their condition was last listed as stable.

No pending charges or citations have been announced at this time.
