2 injured, 1 dead after T-bone crash in Lehigh Acres
LEHIGH ACRES, FL – A driver of a vehicle turned left on Joel Blvd. North and t-boned a motorcyclist, leading two people to suffer injuries and claiming a woman’s life Wednesday.
This collision occurred after 6 p.m. near East 10th Street, NBC-2 reported. First responders rushed the 72-year-old woman, a vehicle passenger, to Lehigh Regional Hospital, where she later died.
Emergency responders then took the vehicle driver and motorcyclist to Gulf Coast Medical Center. There, the motorcycle operator is being treated for serious injuries and the motorist for minor, non-life-threatening wounds.
Florida Highway Patrol is trying to determine if speed, impairment, distracted driving, tiredness, a medical episode, or other circumstances played roles in this fatal wreck.
