2 killed after getting hit by alleged impaired driver in Orlando
ORLANDO, FL – An SUV driver suspected of impairment crashed into a vehicle turning left, leading to the death of two men from Colorado Sunday.
WESH said this collision took place around 1 p.m. at the Rouse Road and Lake Underhill Road intersection.
The driver and passenger from the other vehicle succumbed to fatal injuries.
Troopers said the SUV driver – 40-year-old Leslie Gehret of Orlando – was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries and was charged with driving with a suspended license, violation of probation, vehicular homicide, and DUI manslaughter.
