2 lives claimed when motorcycle overturns in South Fort Myers
SOUTH FORT MYERS, FL – A motorcycle operator lost control of their bike near Lakes Park, leading it to overturn and claiming their life and their passenger’s Monday.
This crash occurred on U.S. 41 down the road from Gladiolus Drive, according to NBC-2.
Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcycle operator succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene, while emergency crews sent the passenger to a hospital, where they later passed away.
In Florida, troopers do not publically release the names of individuals who died in motor vehicle collisions in accordance with Marsy’s Law. As such, they won’t release the victims’ names. They did, however, indicate they started an investigation but have not shared any new developments at this time.
