2 men pass away after multi-auto wreck in Orlando
ORLANDO, FL – A 24-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were taken to a hospital, where they died after they hit a Ford Maverick and then were struck by a trash truck Friday.
Click Orlando said this collision occurred before 5 a.m. on State Road 417 near mile marker 6. Details from Florida Highway Patrol showed that the driver of the Toyota Corolla did not reduce their speed for slowed traffic and tried to swerve to avoid hitting a Ford Maverick, but struck its rear on the left side. The Toyota became disabled and was then struck by a driver of a trash truck, who was not able to stop.
FHP said the trash truck driver, a 21-year-old man from Kissimmee, and the Ford driver, a 30-year-old man, were unharmed.
Troopers do not publicly announce the names of victims who died in collisions but were able to confirm the men’s places of residence, stating that the 37-year-old man was from Kissimmee and the 24-year-old man from Haines City.
