2 officers, civilian driver hospitalized after crash near Zoo Miami
MIAMI, FL – One civilian driver and two Miami-Dade police officers were sent to the hospital after their vehicles collided adjacent to Zoo Miami Thursday.
The Miami Herald said the collision happened around 7:30 a.m. at the Southwest 152nd Street and Southwest 117th Avenue junction. Miami-Dade Police told the source that the officers were rushing to the scene of a reported call. They claimed that the crash happened when the other driver did not “likely see them” traveling through the intersection, which resulted in the crash.
The officers were transported to Baptist Hospital in Kendall for an evaluation of their wounds, and the other driver went to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
