2 pedestrians hospitalized after hit-and-run crash in Collier County
COLLIER COUNTY, FL – Two women, ages 47 and 65, were seriously injured as a result of a hit-and-run pedestrian collision Wednesday morning in Naples Manor, according to NBC 2.
The incident took place on a stretch of Texas Avenue at around 8:10 a.m.
A release from the Florida Highway Patrol indicates the women were walking on a nearby sidewalk when a driver in a sedan veered off the roadway and struck them.
Both women were rushed to an area hospital with significant injuries.
While the FHP and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate the involved car at a home off Holland Street, the vehicle was found without a license plate. State troopers also continue to appeal to the public for any information about the hit-and-run driver, who remains at large.
