2, plus toddler, hurt when driver runs stop sign, hits truck in St. Pete
ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A man and a woman, plus a 2-year-old boy, sustained injuries after the toddler’s driver had ignored a stop sign and crashed into a pickup truck Friday.
ABC Action News said that when the car collided with the truck on 41st Avenue North, the toddler, who did not wear a safety device, was ejected as a result. Florida Highway Patrol confirmed he sustained serious injuries but did not specify if he was taken to a hospital.
The occupants from the Chevy Silverado pickup truck, a 34-year-old man from Riverview, and the passenger with him, a 38-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries.
Troopers did not reveal if the car driver, a 40-year-old woman, was injured and if she was cited or charged for her failing to stop at a stop sign.
