2 women hospitalized, man dies after Tampa fiery solo-auto crash
TAMPA, FL – After a car collided with a tree, it caught on fire, sending two women to a hospital and claiming a man’s life Thursday.
WFLA said this collision happened before 4 a.m. at a roundabout in the area of North 40th Street and River Hills Drive.
Tampa Police declared the man dead at the scene, and first responders took the woman to medical facilities, where one is recovering from severe wounds.
Police shut down the roundabout for several hours to conduct their investigation and to accommodate the scene clearance process. They have not released an additional statement at this time.
