3-vehicle crash in Homestead sends officers to hospital
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A driver of a Toyota turned left at an intersection along Homestead Air Reserve Park, resulting in a three-vehicle crash that hospitalized two Miami-Dade police officers and one civilian Thursday.
According to NBC Miami, the collision took place before 4 p.m. near SW 122 Avenue and SW 268th Street. When the driver of a Toyota turned left, a driver of a Jeep and a police cruiser both struck the Jeep in a T-bone-style manner.
The driver of the Toyota and Jeep appeared to have sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene, while the Jeep passenger and the two officers were sent to the hospital.
Officials have not revealed the current conditions of the officers or of the Jeep passenger.
Charges will be brought.
