4-auto crash in Terrace Park sends 3 to hospital, claims 1 life
TAMPA, FL – A woman in her 20s passed away Friday due to a four-vehicle wreck in the Terrace Park area that sent three other people to the hospital.
Tampa Police said the events unfolded before 10 a.m. when the young woman’s Kia Sorento was struck by a Dodge Ram at the intersection of East Bougainvillea Ave and McKinley Drive. Early details show that the woman was making a turn when the vehicles collided. A short time later, a third driver tried to avoid the initial collision and crashed into a wooded area, while a fourth car was hit by debris from the crash.
Following this wreck, EMS crews took the two Dodge Ram occupants, an adult driver and passenger, and the third driver, a man, to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police declared the woman behind the wheel of the Kia Sorrento deceased at the scene.
The fourth person, a female driver traveling alone, was unharmed.
First responders and crews shut down the area and have reopened it since.
