4 hurt, 79-year-old man killed in left-turn crash in Hudson
HUDSON, FL – Four were injured, and one life was claimed in a crash on U.S. Highway 19 and Sea Ranch Drive Sunday.
The driver of an SUV turned left in front of a pickup truck while approaching Sea Ranch Drive and then collided with the vehicle, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The impact caused the SUV to come to rest in the grass median and the pickup truck on the west shoulder.
The pickup truck driver, an unidentified 35-year-old man, and the three passengers with him – a 30-year-old woman and two girls – a 4-year-old and an 8-year-old – all suffered minor injuries. They wore seatbelts at the time of the collision.
The SUV driver, an unknown 79-year-old man, succumbed to fatal injuries.
