4 hurt, 8-year-old girl killed in vehicle, big rig rear-end crash
JACKSONVILLE, FL – Two children and two adults were hurt and an 8-year-old girl died after a rear-end crash on I-95 between a vehicle and a big rig Thursday.
WSOC-TV said this collision occurred when the driver traveling with the children and adults lost control of the automobile and struck the back of the tractor-trailer.
The tractor-trailer driver was unharmed, and the 8-year-old girl from the other vehicle succumbed to fatal injuries after not wearing a seatbelt. She died at the scene.
