5-auto wreck with Sunny Isles Beach police car sends man to hospital
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL – A man was taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital after a five-vehicle crash with a police car Monday.
This two-vehicle collision happened after 6 a.m. at the southbound SR 826 and NW 25 Street area, according to NBC Miami.
Police said the patrol car was affiliated with the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department. They said the officer driving the patrol car was unharmed.
Officers did not confirm the civilian man’s condition or clarify whether he was a driver or passenger.
Authorities shut down the southbound Palmetto Expressway and later reopened all lanes.
