5 hurt as ATV collides with car in Lehigh Acres
LEHIGH ACRES, FL – Five juveniles sustained unspecified wounds when a Toyota Camry and an ATV collided at Karen Avenue and 20th Street Sunday.
WINK News said the events unfolded around 7 p.m. when the ATV operator was going west on 20th Street, and the Camry driver was going south on Karen Avenue, causing the Camry’s front bumper to hit the ATV.
Florida Highway Patrol said the impact of this collision, led the five minors on the ATV, who were between 4 to 10 years old, to suffer injuries, while the car driver, a 26-year-old woman from Fort Myers, and the children with her were unharmed.
As it stands, FHP has not specified whether the ATV driver, a 34-year-old man from Lehigh Acres, was injured.
