Pedestrian struck, killed in hit-and-run on US-92
TAMPA, FL – A 74-year-old man from Tampa was killed last Wednesday night when he was hit by a vehicle while crossing US-92 near Seffner.
According to a report by the Tampa Bay Times, the man was attempting to cross the highway west of Williams Road at about 8 p.m. when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries in the crash. His identity has not yet been released.
The driver responsible fled the scene without stopping.
It is unclear if any arrests have been made in connection to the deadly crash. However, first responders recovered pieces of a black Honda sedan at the scene.
