One hurt, one dead in car-pedestrian crash in Sunrise
SUNRISE, FL – A man was hospitalized, and a woman’s life was claimed in a crash involving a silver Toyota vehicle Monday.
According to CBS Miami, the collision happened on North University Drive.
Officials said first responders were first called to the scene around 6 a.m. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Toyota lost control of the car and crashed into a pole, hitting the man and woman in the process.
The man and woman, who were pedestrians, both suffered injuries. The woman gave in to them and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger were unharmed. At this time, officials did not indicate if there would be pending charges.
