Man, 28, killed in SUV-motorcycle crash in Punta Gorda

PUNTA GORDA, FL – One life was claimed in a motorcycle crash on Edgewater Drive after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to NBC-2, the collision occurred near Severin Road SE. For reasons unclear, the motorcyclist, an unidentified 28-year-old man, drove off the road, went over a median, and flipped over on its side, and collided with the left side of an SUV.

It is unclear if the SUV driver was hurt, but the motorcyclist was sent to a hospital, where he later died.
