Four injured in 2-vehicle wreck in Clearwater
CLEARWATER, FL – Two were hurt, and two were sent to the hospital following a two-vehicle wreck Sunday.
According to WFLA, the crash occurred at the intersection of Belleair Road and US-19.
Officials said a driver of a Nissan Frontier pickup truck drove through a red light. Upon entering, a driver of a southbound Nissan Altima sedan made a turn onto Belleair Rd and collided with the pickup truck.
The impact caused the pickup truck driver to collide with a pole and stop. The sedan eventually came to a “full stop at the intersection.”
As seen in the photos, the pickup truck and Altima both sustained significant damage. The pickup truck can be seen resting on a curb.
The impact left two occupants with non-life-threatening injuries, and others suffered severe injuries.
It is unclear if charges will be pending for the driver of the Nissan pickup truck.
Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
