No injuries reported in train, car carrier crash in Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, FL – Officials were called to a crash between a car carrier and a Brightline train Wednesday.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Washington Street, NBC Miami reported. For reasons unclear a car carrier stopped on the railroad tracks, and as a result, was struck by the train.
The impact caused the cars on top of the carrier to come tumbling down, and a pole, as well as a set of traffic lights.
No injuries were reported.
Train service from Fort Lauderdale to Miami was put on hiatus as crews worked to clear the railroad tracks.
