One dead after garbage truck overturns on car in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A garbage truck rolled over on a Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway off-ramp and landed on a car Wednesday morning.

The driver suffered fatal injuries, First Coast News reported. All lanes on Phoenix Avenue, along Martin Luther, closed for several hours and have reopened since.

It is unclear what prompted this fatal collision, nor have officials released the driver’s name.
