1 dead after Fort Myers Beach motorcycle, pickup truck crash
FORT MYERS BEACH, FL – A motorcyclist lost control of his bike and crashed into the pickup truck on Estero Road before suffering fatal injuries Friday.
The collision happened before 8 p.m. near Redfish Road when the motorcyclist left the southbound lanes on Estero Road and went into the northbound lanes, and collided with the pickup truck, NBC-2 reported.
The pickup truck driver – a 65-year-old man – and the three passengers with him appeared to be unharmed. The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating this collision.
