News: 1 killed, 5 hospitalized after 8-vehicle crash in Miami
MIAMI, FL – Five were sent to the hospital, and one person died following an eight-vehicle collision on southbound I-95 after 2 a.m. Thursday.
According to Local 10, the collision was first prompted when a driver of a black Tesla lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a concrete barrier wall. The Tesla became disabled and blocked a lane.
After this crash, a black Dodge sedan hit the black Tesla, and the Tesla driver was thrown from his vehicle and came to rest on the road.
A Chevy SUV then hit a driver of a white Nissan slowed down, attempting to avoid hitting the Tesla driver. Collisions with five other vehicles led the Tesla driver to suffer fatal injuries.
Five people were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for serious and moderate injuries. Four other people were involved but refused treatment and were taken to a hospital.
