Public identifies man killed in 8-vehicle crash on I-95
MIAMI, FL – The public has confirmed the name of the Tesla driver who was killed in an eight-vehicle crash on I-95 South after 2 a.m. Sunday, the Miami Herald revealed.
For reasons unknown, the Tesla driver – Danny Agnew – the business owner of The Roots Collective, lost control of his car and crashed into a concrete barrier wall. The force of the collision caused his vehicle to be disabled. As a result, a driver of a black Dodge sedan hit the Tesla, prompting Agnew to be ejected from the vehicle.
A driver of a white Nissan tried to avoid striking Agnew but was struck by a Chevy SUV. These drivers then hit Agnew again, and five other vehicles had collisions of their own.
Agnew was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five occupants refused transportation to a hospital, while another five were hospitalized for moderate and serious injuries.
