Hit-and-run driver fatally hits 48-year-old man in Orlando

ORLANDO, FL – A driver of a 2020 Kia Sedona turned left on John Young Parkway from Sand Lake Road and fatally hit a 48-year-old man before fleeing the scene Wednesday.

This collision took place around 3:45 a.m. when the Kia driver struck the 48-year-old man operating a 2010 Nissan Altima, Click Orlando said. The impact of the crash caused the Altima to go off the road and collide with a traffic signal.

The 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating who the Kia driver was and has not yet revealed information on the suspect or indicated if speed or impairment played a role in this crash.
