Pickup truck driver fatally hits cyclist on Waters Ave. in Tampa
TAMPA, FL – A man in his 40s was riding his bike on the 2100 block of West Waters Avenue when he was fatally hit by a pickup truck driver Thursday.
According to WFLA, the man was swerving in and out of traffic when he was hit by the motorist. As a result, he was knocked from his bike and succumbed to fatal injuries despite life-saving measures performed by Tampa Police.
The driver stayed at the scene and will not be facing charges.
Tampa Police have not yet released the victim’s name.
