Man, 38, killed in 2-truck crash in Manatee Co.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL – A 38-year-old man from Cape Coral succumbed to fatal injuries when his truck was struck by a 46-year-old man from Tampa Monday.
According to the Bradenton Herald, the 46-year-old man operating a pickup truck had merged onto I-275 from I-75 when he collided with the truck driven by the Cape Coral man. The 38-year-old man did not wear a seatbelt and was thrown from his truck before it rolled over.
First responders rushed the Cape Coral man to a hospital, where he was later declared dead.
The 46-year-old man and his passenger, a 55-year-old man, wore seatbelts and were unharmed. It is not exactly clear if it was the 46-year-old man or the 38-year-old man who switched lanes first.
