Man hospitalized after car falls on top of him in Cape Coral
CAPE CORAL, FL – A man in his 70s had to go to the hospital after his red Chevy sedan fell on top of him, as he worked to remove a car part on Thursday.
NBC-2 said this incident occurred on Southeast 8th Terrace. When the car fell on Francisco Romero, his son-in-law, Carlos Romero, used a jackknife to try and remove the vehicle before Cape Coral police officers arrived to help.
Officers were able to lift the front end of the car, extricating Francisco. He sustained several cracked ribs and some broken bones and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. He is expected to survive.
