Woman, 21, loses life in fiery crash in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, FL – A 21-year-old woman operating a Kia north on I-75 South and collided head-on with a Nissan, leading her vehicle to catch fire and resulting in her death Thursday.
This collision happened near mile marker 137 before 2 a.m., NBC-2 reported. After the vehicles crashed, the Nissan stopped near SR 82, and its driver — a 59-year-old adult and passenger, Clearwater residents — sustained serious wounds, while the 21-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene.
Florida Highway Patrol has not revealed the current conditions of the injured parties or indicated if they were taken to area hospitals.
