At least 1 killed in fiery semi rollover crash in Fort Lauderdale
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – A driver of a semi-truck crashed on I-95 North, leading the vehicle to catch fire and roll over, claiming one person’s life Friday.
According to WSVN, this collision happened after 6 a.m. adjacent to Southwest 24th Street. Officials shut down all of the northbound lanes and have not indicated a reopening at this time. Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
Authorities said at least one occupant succumbed to fatal wounds shortly after the collision but did not confirm whether it was the driver or passenger who passed away and whether they died at the scene or later at a hospital.
