Man, 86, fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in University

TAMPA, FL – An 86-year-old man who walked his bicycle in the University area lost his life after he was hit by a driver of an SUV who fled the scene Saturday.

Florida Highway Patrol told ABC Action News this crash happened before 6:45 p.m. on U.S. Highway 41 South. Troopers have not released a description of the suspect or their vehicle.
