Driver loses life after crashing into tree, SUV in North Fort Myers
NORTH FORT MYERS, FL – An 18-year-old woman succumbed to fatal wounds after she crashed her vehicle into a tree and then into an SUV Saturday.
NBC-2 said the events of this collision unfolded before 11:30 p.m. on Bayshore Road. The unidentified woman, a Lehigh Acres resident, lost control of the vehicle, leading her to drift off the road and her car to rotate prior to striking the tree.
Upon hitting the tree, her vehicle rammed into the SUV on 1414 Lincoln Avenue, which was parked and unoccupied.
Florida Highway Patrol said she was pronounced dead at the scene. They launched an investigation and have not revealed the events leading up to this crash at this time.
