1 critically hurt, 1 killed in Middleburg motorcycle-truck wreck
MIDDLEBURG, FL – A 19-year-old man operating a motorcycle died, and his passenger, a 15-year-old girl, was left in critical condition after crashing into a pickup truck Wednesday.
This crash happened before 7:30 p.m. at Cosmos Avenue and Peppergrass Street. First Coast News said the motorcyclist was going north on Cosmos, and the truck driver was going west on Peppergrass.
Upon arrival, first responders declared the 19-year-old man dead at the scene. They also took the 15-year-old girl to Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital and the pickup truck driver — a 37-year-old woman from Middleburg — to HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital for treatment of minor wounds.
It is not immediately clear who was at fault. More details will be posted as it becomes available.
