Head-on wreck in Apopka claims life of 44-year-old woman
APOPKA, FL – A 44-year-old woman operating a sedan lost her life after she struck an SUV head-on on S.R. 429 South Thursday.
This collision happened after 3 a.m. near mile marker 36. Click Orlando said the SUV driver — a 29-year-old woman from Mount Dora — tried to avoid hitting the SUV but the sedan ultimately struck the front-right side of the SUV.
The 29-year-old woman and the 44-year-old woman, an Ocoee resident, were both taken to the hospital where the Ocoee woman died. The 29-year-old woman was treated for serious, non-life-threatening wounds.
