Update: Tampa Police release more details about fatal DUI crash
TAMPA, FL – Tampa Police have confirmed more details regarding the DUI collision that took place outside of Carrabba’s Italian Grill that claimed one life Tuesday.
WTSP said the man who was killed was sleeping outside when he was run over by a DUI driver around 9:40 p.m. located at the restaurant at 700 North Dale Mabry Highway, later identified as 30-year-old Angel Manuel Molina.
Authorities said Molina changed lanes, ran off the road, and struck a power pole before driving through the restaurant. Molina was arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter. They said he had a blood alcohol content level of .187.
Molina’s additional charges include “driving with a suspended license, refusing to submit to testing, and DUI property damage.”
