Man, 47, hospitalized after fiery 2-semi wreck in Orange Co.
ORANGE COUNTY, FL – A 47-year-old man from Winter Haven was hospitalized for minor injuries following a fiery two-semi-truck wreck on SR-528 West Monday.
Click Orlando said the events of this crash unfolded after 8 a.m. when the driver of a flatbed trailer drifted to the left lanes after trying to avoid hitting other vehicles. As a result, this motorist jackknifed before ramming into a concrete wall and before getting struck by another semi-truck, resulting in both trucks catching fire.
Florida Highway Patrol launched an investigation. Troopers did not specify if the 47-year-old man drove the first truck or the second truck. They did say that the other driver, a 41-year-old man from Orlando, was unharmed.
