U-turn attempt leads to crash with wall in Tampa
TAMPA, FL – A 41-year-old man driving a 2018 Dodge pickup truck tried to make a U-turn on the Selmon Expressway Connector but ended up crashing into a concrete barrier wall Thursday.
The crash happened around 9 a.m., and the pickup truck split in half and then caught on fire as a result, according to FOX 13 News. First responders rushed the man to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Officials shut down the northbound lanes of the expressway and later reopened all lanes.
